Per Petco policy, volunteers must be 18 or older to volunteer at this location.
Please contact Nancy at nancyh@yahpetrescue.com to schedule your training at Petco - Lake Zurich. You MUST undergo training before being able to volunteer at this cat center.

Must be able to handle cats with and without claws, some will not want to go back into the condo. Must look over each cat while you are handling it and note any worrisome features - goopy eye, dirty ears, claws need trimming, sneezing, vomiting, etc. and alert the cat center coordinator.
We are required to have volunteers there twice a day, so if you can't make your shift, you must let us know ASAP!
Schedule is emailed weekly to all volunteers and is posted at the adoption center for the public to view.

Spin the Wheel Guru Needed! Friday Afternoon Shift
Enthusiastic person needed to engage the public, especially kids, in our Spin The Wheel fundraiser. $1 a Spin, or $5 for 6 spins, and every spin wins a prize. Must be outgoing and people-friendly, and have a knack for drawing people in- think carnival games!
100% of the funds raised at the Spin the Wheel helps our senior pets, so the more people you bring in, the more pets we can help find homes!
All volunteers for this event must be 18, or older.
Crowd Pleaser Needed! Friday Afternoon Shift
Looking for a happy-go-lucky person who loves what we do and wants to tell the world about it! Welcome people into the booth, offer them a brochure, direct them to the sales items, dogs for adoption, or spin the wheel. Must be willing to educate yourself on the rescue basics (FAQ's will be provided for you to learn).
Sales Table! Friday afternoon shift
Handle sales of all fundraising items. Must be willing to engage with the public, talk about the rescue, ask if they're enjoying themselves, etc. You will also help the Spin the Wheel guru restock prizes, help keep volunteer items stashed neatly under the table, and restock items on the tables. You will assist the Crowd Pleaser with restocking brochures and collecting donations from the donation canisters. You will be seated behind the sales tables and will have a price list for all items being sold to raise funds. Lots of fun and great for someone who would like to help out but cannot stand for long periods of time!
